Valsolda is located on the Italian side of Lake Lugano, just a short drive from the capital of Ticino and Lake Como.
The village of San Mamette can be considered the center of Valsolda, as it is home to several restaurants, stores and cafes.
The town of Menaggio, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations on Lake Como, is about 20 minutes away. There are buses to and from Lugano several times a day.

The Walsolda area is known for its southern exposure to the sun and its typical Mediterranean climate. It borders on Switzerland. The center of Lugano can be reached in about 10 minutes.
