Villa Balbiano is a 16th-century palace on the western shore of Lake Como. An icon of the jewel in the crown of Italian luxury, Villa Balbiano is listed by Harpers Bazaar and Vogue US as one of the most prestigious and fascinating locations on Lake Como: it is the perfect choice for any event.
It is the largest private property on the lake, with over two hectares of land. The sumptuous park of Villa Balbiano, awarded by the British Society of Garden Designers, has an Italian-style garden, a swimming pool, a private pier and a boathouse and stretches from the main road to the lake.
Villa Balbiano's interior of approximately 6460 square metres, with 14 rooms in all on three floors, preserves spectacular 17th-century frescoes and marble floors, art objects, paintings, furniture from centuries past, museum-relevant objects from Sotheby's and Christie's, crystal chandeliers and antique gilded mirrors.
The magnificent lobby is decorated with original frescos and is surrounded by a dining room, a library, a winter garden and three lounges. On the same floor are the service rooms with the kitchen and a covered terrace with a fireplace for outdoor dining.
On the first floor, the lake view gallery leads to a study and the master suite. On the second floor are the other suites.
A boat is always available in the private boathouse to enjoy the charm of the lake.
The six luxurious suites in the main building were designed by Jacques Garcia, one of the most important contemporary interior designers.
The view of Lake Como and the mountains is immersive and enchanting and is the perfect setting for memorable events.
